Sport Fishing, principally for the peacock bass, is done during the dry season from September to January. Depending on the area where fishing is done, a great deal of organization is required; boats, equipment, guides, fishing gear, drinks and others.

All of these focuses on one single objective; catching the legendary peacock bass. However, there is a law which says that after being photographed and video recorded, it must be returned to the river.

The fishing season starts in September and ends in the mid January. However, depending on the location it may vary. All boats are 3 seater. Two seats are reserved for the fishermen and one for local guide who is usually someone from the area. Each group decides fishing time eventhough there is a standard fishing time: From 5:30am to 10am and from 3pm to 5:50pm.

Fishermen are usually taken to the Lodge in the afternoon in leaning from Manaus around 3pm. The first part of the journey is a 1,5-hour drive to the municipality of Rio Preto da Eva where the group gets a speedboat which takes them to the Lodge on a one-hour ride. Arrival time its around 4:30pm. No fishing is done on the first day. The focus is on getting organized for the following day.

On the last day, the fishermen return to Manaus after breakfast which is served at 7am. Arrival time in Manaus its around 11am. If necessary, the group or anyone from the group, is taken to the airport or to a hotel in the city.

Transportation to the \lodge is done firstly, by car, Van or bus. Upon leaving Manaus, visitors are taken to the Rio Preto da Eva town. After traveling on a dusty road for twelve kilometers, visitors get into a speedboat which takes them to the Lodge on a fifty minutes ride.

The lodge has private and independents bungalows. All the rooms are joined by a boardwalk. Each room has three beds, A/C, private bathrooms an hot shower.

The water supply comes from underground springs and the sewer system is built according to law. Everything at the lodge was built to offer high quality service and security to visitors, thus helping them to forget about the city stress for a while.
