This Amazon jungle tour is done in 5 days of which two nights are spent out camping in the jungle. On this tour it is possible to explore the forest in a non-conventional way, normally done in small groups which is very important because the less noise is the better.


Activities include piranha fishing, spear fishing at night, dolphin watching, watching the sunset and the sunrise, cayman spotting at night, jungle trekking, watching the rubber-making process, canoeing through the flooded forest and small tributaries.

Trip Itinerary

Day one; at 8am the tour starts when the clients is taken from his hotel by car to the Ceasa Port on the right bank of the Negro River about 20 kilometers from Manaus. From there a speed-boat takes him to the meeting of the waters (the place where the Negro river and the Solimões river meet).
Then he crosses over the river to the village of Careiro. There he takes a van that takes him to the Paraná do Mamori river. A journey of about an hour. Another speed-boat is used to take him to the lodge. This ride takes about 45 minutes and he gets there around 11:30am. Lunch is served at 12:30pm and the afternoon activity starts at 2:30pm. It is a canoe trip to watch dolphins, birds, piranha fishing and finally the watching of the sunset at about 6:30pm. Dinner is served at 7pm and then at about 8:30pm cayman spotting is done. Everyone leaves in a canoe and the guide literally snatches a cayman out of the water. After giving a thorough explanation about the reptile it is returned to its habitat.

Day two: At 5:30am a canoe trip is done to watch the sunrise and to get a close up view of the forest waking up to a new day. At 7am breakfast is served and then at 8am a jungle walk starts and it goes up to 11:30am. During the walk, the guide explains valuable information about the forest. Much is learned about medicinal plants, spiders, trees and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys.
The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. It is canoeing in the flooded forest and in the small channels. It is a great opportunity to see and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle.

Day three: from am to 11am a visit is made to a local family house. There a lot is learned about the day of day life of the local people. After lunch at 3pm visitor leave the lodge to overnight in the forest. It is chance to learn about the nocturnal life. There is also a chance to do spearfishing.

Day Four and Five: While in the forest the guide teaches survival techniques and gives information about any other thing related to the forest. There is also a chance to do spear fishing, more trekking and canoeing. On the last day, the group returns to the lodge around 11am. After lunch at 1:30pm the group leaves the lodge back to Manaus arriving there at about 4:30pm.

Tour Itinerary;
Day one: At 8:30am you are picked up at your hotel and taken to the lodge. It’s an hour boat drive on the Negro river. During the trip, you pass over the bridge stretches over the Negro river and is taken to the Açutuba beach. From there the journey continues, by speed boat for about 25 minutes then you get to the lodge. Arriving there, you served a welcome drink, taken to your room and have a free time before lunch. Lunch is served from 12pm to 1pm then there is some time to rest.

At 2:30pm, the activities begin. You leave by motorized canoe for piranha fishing and for a little trip through the Anavilhanas Islands and at 6:30pm after watching the sunset from the middle of the river, you are return to the lodge at 7pm to have dinner.
After dinner, you leave by canoe for cayman spotting. The guide catches a cayman and gives you all information about it.

Day Two: at 5:30am a canoe trip is made to see the nature in the morning. This includes watching the sunrise and varios species of birds found in the area. At 7am breakfast is served and after that from 8am to 11:30am jungle trekking is done. On the occasion you guide explains about the forest and the medicinal plants found there in the area. There is also a chance to see tarantulas and other animals. The trekking ends at a small waterfall where it is possible to swim. From there you return to the lodge by boat. You have lunch at 12pm and then rest. In the afternoon, you leave to visit an indian village where you have opportunity to see a ritual. You can take pictures or film on your camcorder. From there you are taken across the Negro to swim with the Dolphin and then you return to the lodge getting there at about 5:30pm.

Day Three: After breakfast, you can go canoeing through the creeks and small channels from 8am to 11am. At 12pm lunch is served and at 2pm you leave for Manaus getting there at about 4:30pm.

The Juma floating Lodge is located 100 kilometers away from the city of Manaus. The Journey from Manaus to the lodge is done in four parts. Two parts are done by land and the other two parts are done by speed boat. The whole journey from Manaus to the Lodge takes about three and half hours and the last part to reach the lodge its done by speed boat crossing the forest exploring lakes and small tributaries.

The Juma floating lodge has accommodation with fan and accommodation with air conditioning and private bathroom in all rooms. A varandah built in front of the rooms enables the guests to relax in hammocks while observing dolphins going by or caymans stretching themselves out on the opposite bank. This is normally possible in the dry season from September to December. There is energy 24 hours a day, so charging batteries and other equipment is possible. In the rainy season it is possible to go paddling exploring the flooded when visitors have a chance to watch monkeys going by. In the dry season, it is fishing time. What about going fishing for the delicious peacock bass or yet, pulling in a three pound one there is a fishing for piranhas, cayman spotting, and of course trekking and sleeping in the forest. Then finish your tour by visiting the local people. And remember, you are always accompanied by your guide and served by friendly Amazon People.

This Amazon Boat tour can be done on board a regional boat with accommodation hammocks or on board a boat with accommodations in Cabins. This is considered as the best tor done in the Amazon as its possible to visit different areas of the jungle during  the tour.

He also gives you information about medicinal plants found there during the trekking. There is Also opportunity to see spiders and monkeys and other animals in the forest. After lunch your house boat moves on to another area. After getting there, a reconnaissance trip by canoe is done with chance to see dolphins, birds and beautiful fauna found there and canoe trip through the small channels and in the flooded forest when the water level is high.

Day Three: While on the way you stop to visit to the local people you have the chance to learn about their simple way of life. Then you continue on your journey to Manaus getting there at about 5pm.
